Notwithstanding any other provision, we partner with third parties that collect information across various channels, including offline and online, for purposes of delivering more relevant advertising to you. Our partners may place or recognize a cookie on your computer, device, or directly in our emails/communications, and we may share personal information with them if you have submitted such information to us, such as your name, postal address, email address, or device ID. Our partners may link the nonpersonal information we share with them to the cookie stored on your browser or device, and they may collect information such as your IP address, browser or operating system type and version, and demographic or inferred-interest information. Our partners use this information to recognize you across different channels and platforms over time for advertising, analytics, attribution, and reporting purposes. Why can’t I limit all sharing?
Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for non-affiliates to market to you

Other important information
For Vermont residents only: In accordance with Vermont law, Barclays will not share information we collect about Vermont residents with companies outside of Barclays except as permitted by law, such as with the consent of the customer, to service the customer's accounts or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements. We will not share creditworthiness information about Vermont residents among Barclays affiliates except with the authorization or consent of the Vermont resident.
For California residents only: In accordance with California law, we will not share information we collect about California residents with nonaffiliated third parties except as permitted by law, such as with the consent of the customer, to service the customer's accounts, or to fulfill rewards or benefits. We will also limit the sharing of information about you with our affiliates to extent required by applicable California law.
For Nevada residents only: We are providing you this notice pursuant to state law. You may be placed on our internal Do Not Call List by following the directions set forth above. California Consumer Privacy Act: Our California Consumer Privacy Act Disclosure ("CCPA Disclosure") explains how Barclays Bank Delaware collects, uses, and discloses Personal Information relating to California residents that is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA").

The CCPA, does not apply to certain information, such as information subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ("GLBA"). As a result, the CCPA and our CCPA Disclosure do not apply, for example, to information that we collect about California residents who apply for or obtain our financial products and services ("Customers").

Personal Information under the CCPA: 

Under the CCPA, “Personal Information” is information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with a particular California resident or household. 

The CCPA does not apply to certain information, such as information subject to the GLBA. Information is subject to the GLBA, and therefore not covered under the CCPA, when it is information that was collected about a California resident, for example, in connection with the individual’s application for or use of a financial product or service from us. As a result, for purposes of this CCPA Disclosure, Personal Information does not include information relating to a Customer that is subject to the GLBA.

Personal Information We Collect: 

We collect Personal Information relating to California residents in a variety of contexts. The primary reason we collect Personal Information relating to California residents is to market our financial products and services. Nonetheless, the specific Personal Information that we collect, use, and disclose relating to a California resident will depend on our specific relationship or interaction with that individual. 

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of Personal Information relating to California residents:

(1)  Identifiers, such as name, address, and email address;

(2)  Personal information under the California safeguards law, such as contact information and financial information;

(3)    Commercial information, such as transaction and loyalty program membership information;

(4) Internet or network activity information, such as browsing history and interactions with our website;

(5) Geolocation data, such as device location;

(6) Audio, visual, and similar information, such as call recordings; and

(7) Inferences drawn from any of the Personal Information listed above to create a profile about an individual’s preferences and characteristics, for example. 

While not subject to the CCPA, we also collect information relating to our Customers, such as name, Social Security number, contact information, application information, payment information and payment history, credit information and transaction information. This information is necessary to service and administer your account with us.

If you have a financial product or service with us, we encourage you to go to your account on-line to review your account information and transactional activity. If your account is closed or you no longer have online account access, this information would have been included on the account statements that were previously provided to you.

How We Use Personal Information: 

The purposes for which we use the Personal Information that we collect relating to California residents depends on our relationship or interaction with the specific California resident.  

In general, we may use Personal Information to operate, manage, and maintain our business, to provide our products and services, and to accomplish our business purposes and objectives.

For example, we use Personal Information to personalize, develop, market, and provide our products and services, detect and prevent fraud, perform identity verification, maintain our systems and infrastructure, protect against conduct risk, perform security control and monitoring and maintain business records.

Personal Information We Disclose:

We disclose Personal Information relating to California residents for our business purposes in a variety of contexts. For example, we disclose Personal Information relating to California residents to our service providers to market our financial products and services.

In the past 12 months, we have disclosed to third parties the following categories of Personal Information on California residents that is subject to the CCPA:

We Do Not Sell Personal Information: 

As provided in our CCPA Disclosure in the past 12 months, we have not “sold” Personal Information relating to California residents within the meaning of the CCPA. 

For purposes of our CCPA Disclosure, “sold” means the disclosure of Personal Information for monetary or other valuable consideration.

Requests Under the CCPA for Access to Personal Information: 

If you are a California resident, under the CCPA you may request that we provide to you the following information covering the 12 months preceding your request:

(1) the categories of Personal Information that we collected about you and the categories of sources from which we collected such Information;

(2) the business or commercial purpose for collecting Personal Information about you;

(3) the categories of Personal Information about you that we disclosed to third parties for a business purpose and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed such Personal Information (if applicable);

(4) the specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you.

In some instances, we may decline to honor your request. For example, we may decline to honor your request if we cannot verify your identity or confirm that the Personal Information that we maintain relates to you. In other instances, we may decline to honor your request where an exception under the CCPA applies, such as where the disclosure of Personal Information would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of another consumer or, as discussed above where information that we collected about you is not subject to the CCPA, such as information that is subject to the GLBA.  

If you are a California resident, to make a request for the disclosures described above relating to Personal Information that we collected about you that is not subject to an exception under the CCPA, you may:

Requests Under the CCPA to Delete Your Personal Information:

If you are a California resident, you may also request that we delete Personal Information that we collected from you.

In some instances, we may decline to honor your request where an exception under the CCPA applies. For example, we will not honor your request where the Personal Information that we collected from you is subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”). For example, we are not able to delete a Customer’s application, account, payment or transaction information.
